FAQs

Do you need to be a UNSW student to play for UNSW Football Club?

No, most of our men’s and women’s competitions are open to all members of the community. However, we do offer scholarships and discounts for students. You do need to be a student to play in the University Games.

When are trials held?

Trials for our elite teams (FNSW Men’s, Women’s, Boys, Girls) are held in October and November each year for the following season. Late comers should contact Technical Directors.

Trials for our local teams run throughout February/March. Information on dates and times are updated on the website homepage and our Facebook page.

I’ve missed the trial dates, can I still get involved?

Yes, of course! Email info@unswfc.com.au to find out how.

Does it cost anything to play?

Yes, there are registration costs for most of our teams and competitions. You will be informed of the costs when you are selected for a team or when registering (for our small-sided competitions).

How do I claim insurance if I get injured?

In the unfortunate event that you get injured, talk to your coach or manager about where to claim and they will help you with the process. There are both Arc Sport UNSW and Football NSW insurance claim forms in our Document Library.

What should I do if I wish to raise a concern or complaint with the club?

The first point of contact for all grievances and complaints in the club is the Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) whose contact information can be found in our Grievances and Complaints Policy and Procedures. This is able to be viewed and downloaded from our Document Library. We urge all members to read this document as it outlines the expectations from the club and all parties and will help you know what to expect at all stages of a concern or complaint process.
